Ordering Sample Device Certificates

To facilitate the testing of WiMAX devices using a true PKI on a sample basis, WiMAX Forum members may purchase sample device certificates in blocks of 10. These sample device certificates include all the attributes of device certificates supplied by the WiMAX Forum’s two device Certificate Authorities, Motorola and VeriSign.

Each order of 10 device certificates costs US$500.

Larger quantities of device certificates should be purchased directly from Motorola and VeriSign.

Steps to Obtain Sample Device Certificates:

  1. Complete the Sample Device Certificate Request Form
  2. Make payment of US$500 per order. Once the order is received an invoice will be generated along with payment options and sent to the requestor.
  3. Device certificate order is processed once payment is confirmed.
  4. Note: Please allow up to 5 business days from the time of payment to retrieval of the certificates.
  5. WiMAX Forum will send you instructions via email on how to obtain your certificates.

Ordering Server Test Certificates

To facilitate the testing of WiMAX servers using a true PKI on a test basis, WiMAX Forum members may purchase a test server certificate. These test server certificates include all the attributes of server certificates supplied by the WiMAX Forum’s server Certificate Authority, VeriSign.

The WMF Member Vendor/Customer cannot provide its own NSP ID – The NSP ID secured by WiMAX Forum will be used.

The WMF Member Vendor/Customer can not specify its own domain, and must use a current domain. If the Vendor/Customer is not one of the listed labs, then the WMF Domain is to be used.

Each order of 1 test server certificate costs US$500 per year.

  2. Make payment of US$500 per order. Once the order is received an invoice will be generated along with payment options and sent to the requestor
  3. Test Server Certificate order is processed certificate request is approved once payment is confirmed.
  4. Note: Please allow up to 5 business days from the time of payment to retrieval of the certificate.
